Rumours surfaced that Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is dating recently single, downhill ski champion Lindsey Vonn, the poster girl of the US Olympic Ski Team.

A few things have helped fuel the dating rumour, a few pictures the two took together at the ESPYs, as well as the fact that they both live in Colorado and Vonn announcing last month that she plans to divorce her husband of four years. This coupled with Vonn being spotted in a private box with the Tebow family watching Sunday’s Broncos game have seemed to further the dating rumour.

However, Vonn writes in a column for the Denver Post that that’s just not the case, ‘A lot of people are wondering what’s up with me and the Tebows. I’m just friends with the family’. She added ‘Tim presented me with my ESPY award this year, and we kind of chatted. I said, “If you want to come up to Vail and ski, let me know.” Robby invited me to one of their games a few weeks ago. Then we ended up being able to race at Beaver Creek, so he came up for that last Wednesday’.

Vonn ‘Tebowed’ after winning a World Cup race in Colorado last week, but she says we shouldn’t read anything into that. “Just because I `Tebow,’ doesn’t mean I’m dating him,” she told the AP.

According to Vonn it is a family friendship in the mountains and nothing more, it seems. Well, we will just need to wait and see if these two start dating.
